A great lesson in parenting that I wish more parents understood. As I raised my boys, I added one stipulation - If they appeared interested in something and we signed them up for a team or lessons, they had to see it through at least until the end of the season. I wanted to instill the understanding that it takes time to develop a skill and one lesson or one week of practice does not allow you to know if you truly like something.
