First, please, NEVER appologize for asking questions. It is one of the best techniques for learning.
I gather you struggle daily with some type of arthritis or other dibilatating disease. Some days, that itself can require all of your energy and focus.
My feelings are that with what technology is capable of and access to people, resistance tends to tell us that everythng can be used to excuse telling our story. I have met and worked with several people who struggle, but the passion to “write” transcends their struggles. A young victim of cerebral palsy dictates to someone, as does someone I know with severe rheumatoid arthritis. With digital voice recorders at an affordable rate, they are useful tool for people who struggle withh the physical act of writing.
Since you write on your phone, you could try the voice to text options in Evernote or Google Drive.
If the story burns within you and you walk away, you are experienceing resistance. If the story burns within you and you make excuses for not working on a project, you are experiencing resistance. On the other hand, if you can walk away and don’t feel the pull of the story, writing for you may be a hobby rather than a passion.
I’d like to invite you to read both The Art of War by Steven Pressfield and You Are a Writer (So, Start ACTING Like One) by Jeff Goins. They are both thought provoing and motivating boks.
