I find it interesting that you believe these mistakes are just typos. After teaching high school English/language arts for 34 years, I can assure you that there are many writers who, even though taught the difference, have no clue about the difference in the words. Part of that stems from the lack of importance placed on parts of speech and parts of a sentence because many curriculums feel that it is just not important.
