I taught a course for years called “Oral Communications” or public speaking. My most frustrating experiences would be to go to faculty meetings or district meetings and have the principal or superintendent not be a good public speaker. Many times, from their non-verbal communication, I realized that they just weren’t going to be good leaders. I wish every leader would go to a public speaking class or coach and have their presentations video taped so they could see how they appear to others.
