I will, tonight, be the unpopular voice in response to this article.

I understand that we have the privilege to voice our opinion, and I am grateful that our forefathers thought to include "freedom of speech" in the Bill of Rights.

That being said, I don't agree that violence, vandalism, and defacing government property (property that we have all paid for with our taxes) should be tolerated. Why should we NOT take action against those who set fires? Why should we NOT take action against those who loot and steal? Why should we NOT take action against those who take someone else's life?

AND if we don't take action against individuals who act this way, are we not telling people that these behaviors are acceptable and sanctioned?
