Within this sentence, I see contradiction to your premise. Most of the other countries that have kicked COVID to the curb, didn’t even allow friends to gather safely during lockdown and quarantine. Since scientists are finding that a person might be contagious for 24 to 48 hours before the show symptoms or could even present a positive test result, how safe would a friendly small get together be?

And if we are to really believe that our numbers are so bad, society needs an explanation on inaccurate reporting of the numbers AND a better breakdown of the positive cases and deaths. For example, how many people who have died as a result of COVID, have a laundry list of health issues and don’t do what they need to regarding their health?

We have too many unanswered questions, too much political rhetoric, and too much propaganda. I see the argument about our loss of freedoms more as a distrust of medical scientist (who will always be just practicing because technology continues to develop ways see more and learn more) AND a general distrust of old establishment politics AND a distrust of the media who clips just what they want people to hear so they can create fear or move you to believe what they want you to belief or twist stats for their benefit.
